A little bit of fun!

A few of us girls were able to get together in Booneville over the weekend and had so much fun! We loved catching up and wish we could see each other more! We can't wait for Baby Butler and Baby Maynard to get here!!!! :) We missed you, Michelle!!

On to Memphis....

On Sunday afternoon Larkin and I went to The Lion King in Memphis with Jordan and Saunders. It was GREAT! It will be in Memphis through the 16th of September so check The Orpheum out if you are interested! Thanks for having us guys!

From bad to better...or maybe even good!

My friends have been asking me for months to send pictures of our house but do you see why I haven't before now? :) When our realtor called and said this house had become available we didn't even want to go inside after seeing the outside! He had to beg us to come look....We took him up on it since it was in the neighborhood that we really liked but of course the ugliest house had come on the market!! :) This is what it was like when we moved in April. We have since painted, gotten shutters & a new front door....all that is left is landscaping and that will have to be a project for the spring! :) It is looking alot better...nothing like a good ol' makeover in the BIG CITY!! :)

My brother, Stephen, will start his SOPHOMORE year of college in just a few days!! It's CRAZY!! Sometimes I still can't believe he is already at MC....Just wanted to wish him the best of luck as he gets his second year started! Know it will be a great one!

Good Times...

Katey & Camp came over last Thursday & Friday and we had a blast! Camp LOVED Darby and it was fun to see how excited he would get to say her name even on the 100th time :) We enjoyed y'all being here!!




Friday night we headed to Inverness to celebrate Larkin's birthday with his parents. We went to LK's favorite restaurant in Leland on Saturday night, Lillo's, and loved every bite! We hadn't been to the Delta in a while so it was good to be able to spend a few days! We enjoyed it very much! :)

Today Larkin turns the big 2-8! Another year that I am indeed so thankful for! I hope it's a great day, LK and I am so honored to be able to celebrate it with you. You are the best husband and friend that anyone could ever ask for and I just thank you for making this wife of yours the happiest woman in the world :)

A Little Kitchen Work

Since we have moved into our house in April we have had alot of home improvement projects to do. It's an older house...the ranch style kind :) We have done a good bit of painting, put down some new floors, etc. It's been fun but we're about ready to wrap it up :) We just finished up with the kitchen and I was able to pick up our window treatment today to completely seal the deal on this room. I, with the help of Lanny (Larkin's mom) covered the counter stools with the same material in which our window treatment was made...well, I really need to say that I stood there and WATCHED as Lanny did these--I don't think I was very much help! :) See before and after pics below....and by the way, they loved red (and I do too but I think a little goes a long way). Red was in the foyer, kitchen and den...several different shades of it, though...even better!! ;)

Well, I wish I had something more interesting and fun to post! :) We have been without a camera over the past week or so but should get it back this weekend! Larkin's parents are on a trip right now and we were happy to let our camera tag along....
I promise to be a "more fun" blogger next week! :)

Our summer has been full of traveling but its been fun. We were able to take a few more quick beach trips but unfortunately I (we) didn't have the camera...or if we did it never found it's way out of the bag!! And for the record, we have NEVER been to the beach this many times in a summer and it will probaby NEVER happen again! So don't think this is normal for the Kennedy's :)

We went to Gulf Shores with Kane, Katey & Camp in May. A good time was had by all and we appreciate Katey's parents opening up their condo to us for an entire week! It was great to get away for a few days...the beach always does a heart good!
