Beau Rivage.Birthdays.Babies... and a Wedding!

It's been a little crazy around here lately, but in a good way! Just kind of going from one place to another...to another. We left last Wednesday and headed down to the Beau Rivage. LK had a conference there for a few days so I was definitely tagging along for that trip! We hadn't been before so we were looking forward to it and getting away for a few days always does us good. We headed to Jackson on Friday and then onto Greenwood on Saturday for a wedding. We did manage to get a few pictures while we were traveling the state of MS :) Sadly, though, none from the BR...camera didn't even make it out of the bag while we were there! Guess you will have to go visit...

My mom's birthday was the 25th so we were so glad we could celebrate with her to bring in another year! My dad cooked a wonderful supper and it was good just to be together. Happy Birthday again, mom! We love you so much!!

We got to lay eyes on sweet little Baird while we were in Jackson, too, and he is the cutest little thing! Adams has been such a good big brother...in fact, so good that Foster bought him a nerf gun...big deal for a 3 yr. old and he LOVES it! It was hilarious watching him shoot it and then hearing what he had to say...he is too funny! Congrats again you guys! Love y'all! :)

On Saturday some of us gave a baby shower for Jenna Oswalt (Grace). It was actually a Pamper the Mom shower so it was a little different but really fun. She got some great things and will be all dolled up by the time Ava Grace gets here! She is due around the middle of April and looks great. It was so fun having some time together with these friends!
(l-r: Katie Ingram, Amanda Blair, JR, Courtney Layson, Kristen Brooks & Jenna).

We went to Ryan Willams & Jay Hendersons wedding on Saturday night in Greenwood. Mrs. Lanny's college roommate was Rima (Ryan's mama). We had a great time and loved our time with them and Alan & Kristi as well. The band was great and gotta give a little shout out to Melissa Tribble for stepping up and singing a few songs at the reception...Proud Mary wouldn't have been near as fun had she not been the one singing it! :)

We headed home on Sunday and were having a pretty good week until Larkin came down with the FLU yesterday!! He feels terrible! He had the flu shot but obviously it didn't keep him from getting it. Hopefully it will keep him from having it too bad, though. He is on Tamiflu and so am I...Lysol and Clorox wipes are my best friends. Between subbing everyday this week for a teacher who HAS the flu and having a husband that has it I will be lucky not to get it...I am keeping my fingers crossed!!

Have a great weekend!

Baird Foster Kennedy is here!

Brandon and Foster had their second little BOY yesterday morning! Baird weighed 7 lbs. 13 oz. and was 3 1/2 weeks early! Brandon was scheduled for a section on Feb. 4th but I guess he decided he didn't want to wait that long! Everybody is doing great and should head home Wednesday. Here is a picture that was e-mailed earlier....more pics to come! :)

Good Times

Sara Whitten & Brian Atwood came to Tupelo on Saturday night and we all stayed with our friends, Kellye & Chet Abraham. Sara Whit & Kellye have been best friends for forever and we have gotten to know K & C through church. They are actually our small group leaders. LK & Sara Whit have been friends for a long time and then SW & I actually share an aunt! Small world how we are all connected. ANYWAY, a friend of theirs is in a band in Nashville and they were playing in Tupelo Sat. night. We had a fancy smancy dinner at The Bistro and then headed to hear them play. It was fun catching up and hanging out...

We went to the MSU basketball game last Tuesday night when State played Kentucky. There was a great crowd and it was a fun game. We stopped by The Grill on our way in and picked up dinner and took it to Kane & Katey's. We all ended up ordering the burger club and it was SO GOOD...highly recommend it for your next trip to Vegas.

Baby Shower

JR, Miranda, Kelly & Meredith

Some of us gave a baby shower last weekend for Miranda who is due February 23rd. She is having a little girl, Mary Evelyn. We can't wait for her to get here!! She got some really cute stuff!

Weekend Project

LK & I loved being at home this weekend. We got alot done around the house and even managed to get the headboard complete that we have been talking about for months! Our guest room is pretty much done now except for maybe a thing or two for the walls. After several trips to the fabric store and a few to Lowe's we can now check this one off the list...definitely a sense of accomplishment! We enjoyed doing it and thought it turned out pretty good...now LK is just praying that I won't decide we need new bedding :) I did assure him, though, that I chose the fabric I did so that wouldn't be the case...tried to go pretty neutral...and that way when I want to change it in 6 months something to go with it won't be hard to find ;)

Happy 08'!

We went to Tupelo for New Years Eve and had a great time. Jamie & Brian had everybody over and we even managed to get in a little karaoke....we loved doing some karaoking to a little booty music, too. Can you imagine the combination?!?!?! It was a fun night...Here's to a GREAT 2008!!!

Go Dawgs!

We had a good time in Memphis last Saturday for the Liberty Bowl and were so glad the Dawgs pulled through...we were beginning to wonder there for a while!! We spent the night and came back home on Sunday...good times...
